It all started on the streets of Cincinnati in 1870, Louis Charles Graeter began selling ice cream. He successfully sold the treat out of two carts after hand-crafting it in French Pots. In 1900, he and his new wife, Regina, opened & started selling ice cream in the front of the store while making it in back.
The family expanded the factory, allowing for the production of even more ice cream. Four generations later, the family began shipping ice cream boxed with dry ice direct to customers.
Graeter’s continues to make its ice cream in small batches using a French pot process and Front Porch Coffeehouse is proud to offer a range of ice cream flavors in cups or cones as well as hand-built shakes.
